The District of
Lysva is situated in the
Perm Region, to the West of the Ural
Mountains.Covering
some 3,703 sq km it has a moderate
climate, with average January temperatures about -17°C and up
to +17°C in July. Lysva, the main city of the district has
been known since the mid 17th Century.
It sits in a wide picturesque river valley,
and is a developed engineering and industrial centre, with a population
of over
76,000.
