Yuzha Town Crest

The town of Yuzha, situated in the Ivanovo Region of Central Russia, dates back to the 17th Century.  It is a typical, and at the same time unique small Russian town, which has retained many of its original features of provincial Russian life.  The town’s population is about 16,000 people, the majority of which are engaged in light-industry.  Yuzha is the main town of the Yuzha District, “the land of 100 lakes”, which is renowned for its rich flora and fauna, and is a great attraction for tourists.

The town itself is most unusual, containing within its boundaries, old pine woodlands and the picturesque lake Vazal.
